Want to play padel in Phuket without a regular group or your own racket? Start by deciding whether you need a court, a lesson or an organised game. This guide covers five venues run by four operators, with published court fees, equipment references and routes for beginners or solo players. It is a partial shortlist, not a ranking or a complete island directory.
Choose a court, an introduction or an organised game
- Court hire: you reserve playing time. Confirm how many players the booking covers and arrange your group; paying for a court does not arrange opponents.
- Coaching: check the lesson duration, number of students and included court, rackets and balls. Ask which session is appropriate if you have never played.
- Open match or social session: read the level, format, entry fee and participation conditions. A place in an advertised event is not a private lesson or a guarantee of a full group.
Keep the branch name with the booking: Padel Phuket’s Blue Tree and Chalong venues are separate locations. Use each operator’s map and do not assume these courts are on Fitness Street or within walking distance of your accommodation.
Phuket padel venues: court fees and equipment
Official club pages and linked public booking pages were checked on 20 October 2026. Amounts below are published references, not live quotes. Tax treatment, payment fees and rental charging units remain unconfirmed unless explicitly stated.
| Venue and location | Court type | Published court-only reference | Equipment and booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xplore Padel Chalong, as described by the club |
Four fully covered courts, according to the operator. | ฿920 per court-hour. This is the standard reference, separate from membership pricing. | The linked WinnerCourt page lists racket hire per session: beginner ฿100, intermediate ฿200, advanced ฿300. Ball supply and final fees need confirmation. |
| Padel Phuket @ Blue Tree Blue Tree, Thalang |
Six courts; its linked MATCHi profile describes four roofed and two open-air courts. | Single-booking court tariff unconfirmed here. Check the selected court and time in MATCHi; no hourly rate is inferred from a lesson or membership. | The operator advertises equipment sale and rental. Hire prices, ball charges and final tax/fees are unconfirmed. |
| Padel Phuket @ Chalong Chalong |
Three courts. Roof status conflicts: the club website says outdoor; its MATCHi profile says covered. Confirm the court you will use. | Single-booking court tariff unconfirmed here. Different pass prices do not establish a visitor’s drop-in rate or eligibility. | Racket rental is advertised. Rental prices, ball charges and final tax/fees are unconfirmed. Use this branch’s own booking link. |
| Sensei Padel Patong |
Four panoramic courts. Roof coverage is not established by the checked text. | ฿800 per court-hour, from its reservation page. | The reservation page lists racket rental at ฿150/hour and ball purchase at ฿300. Confirm the rental unit and ball quantity. It links to Playtomic. |
| Destination Padel Club Thalang |
Four covered and two outdoor courts. | Covered: ฿800/hour. Outdoor: ฿600/hour from 10:00–17:00, ฿800/hour at peak times. Listed court prices include VAT. | Racket rental ฿150 including VAT; duration/unit needs confirmation. Ball purchase: three for ฿300 or ฿350 by type; four for ฿400, including VAT. Book through the club’s Playtomic link. |
Sources are the official pages linked in each row, plus Destination’s contact/location page. Padel Phuket uses separate MATCHi listings for each branch. Check the chosen court and time; current booking totals and availability are not verified here.
How to start when you are new or coming alone
- Xplore: its operator-linked booking page lists open matches and a beginner session with a coach. The club also links to its community for finding games. Check the current event’s level, entry conditions and gear inclusions; an event labelled beginner is not automatically a first-ever lesson.
- Padel Phuket: the Chalong MATCHi profile describes coaching for complete beginners. Blue Tree lists lessons and level-specific social activities. Ask which branch and session fits your experience, rather than assuming every social event welcomes an absolute beginner.
- Sensei: coaching is described for first-time players as well as experienced ones. Its reservation page links to the club’s group for finding games. Confirm the lesson or match arrangement before buying court time alone.
- Destination: the homepage advertises social mix-ins, and the community page is the place to check current activities. The Play page still labels adult weekly clinics “Coming Soon”; this guide does not present them as a bookable weekly beginner class.
A useful first message is: “I am coming alone and have never played padel. Is there an introductory lesson or suitable organised session on my date? What does the total include, and do I need to arrange other players?”
Keep the court share separate from the full visit cost
Court-only example: Xplore’s ฿920 one-hour reference divided equally between four players is ฿230 each. That arithmetic assumes four people sharing one hour; it excludes racket hire, balls, coaching and any unconfirmed fees. It is not an all-in per-person quote.
Compare the whole booking: court time + rental items + balls + coaching or event entry + applicable fees. If a lesson already includes the court or rackets, do not add those items twice.
Two published coaching references
| Operator reference | What is listed | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Sensei | ฿1,800 coaching reference; its page includes one hour of court time, racket rental and coaching. Separate totals are listed for two, three or four students. | Student count, balls, tax/fees, coach and date availability. |
| Padel Phuket head-coach graphic | ฿2,000 regular price for one player, 60 minutes. The graphic includes coach, court, racket rental, balls and training equipment. | Branch, instructor and slot. This is a named coaching category, not a universal price for every coach. Member eligibility and final tax/fees are not assumed. |
Xplore coaching remains unresolved: its main website and WinnerCourt page publish different coaching figures. Obtain a current quote and inclusion list; this guide does not choose one. Destination’s checked pages do not establish a coaching fee.
Check cancellation and weather terms before paying
Sensei’s reservation page allows cancellation through Playtomic 24 hours before play and states no refund with less than 24 hours remaining. Confirm the cutoff for your booking; that rule does not establish a rain refund or another club’s policy.
The checked Xplore, Padel Phuket and Destination sources do not establish a cancellation or rain-credit rule for every booking type. Ask what happens if a court is wet, an organised game does not fill or you cancel a lesson. Covered courts do not by themselves establish an all-weather play or refund guarantee.
Sensei’s equipment FAQ mentions renting balls, while its price list publishes a ball-purchase amount. No ball-rental price or inclusion is assumed here. Exact arrival lead times, deposits, rental stock and unlisted fees also remain unconfirmed.
- Confirm the branch, court type, date and playing duration.
- Confirm the players, level and whether you are booking coaching or court time.
- Confirm racket quantity, rental charging unit, balls and the final total.
- Read the booking-specific cancellation, weather and no-show terms.
- Keep the booking confirmation and the operator’s check-in instructions.
For a wider Chalong training stay, use the Fitness Street guide. If you want an accommodation-led programme, compare the Phuket fitness retreat guide separately; a padel court booking does not establish retreat or hotel access.
Practical questions about padel in Phuket
Can I turn up alone?
Start with an operator’s lesson, open-match or social-session route above. Confirm your place and level first. Renting a court on your own does not automatically supply the other players.
Do I need my own racket?
These operators advertise equipment hire, but prices and inclusions differ. Confirm the number of rackets, hire duration, charging unit and ball supply. Do not treat one club’s published rental amount as an island-wide rate.
Is the listed hourly price per person?
The court references above are for court time. Dividing a court bill is an arrangement between your players; event entries and coaching can use different pricing units.
Can I rely on a roof if it rains?
Confirm the selected court and the club’s weather policy. Roof status is specifically unresolved for Padel Phuket Chalong, and a roof does not establish that a session will run in every weather condition.
Is padel the same as pickleball?
They are different sports. This guide covers enclosed padel courts; use the operator’s padel explainer and ask your coach about the equipment and rules for your first session.
Sources, coverage and limits
This is desk research from official operator websites, linked public booking profiles and the official coaching graphic, observed on 20 October 2026. We have not visited, assessed court quality, joined a group, tested coaching or completed checkout. The five-venue shortlist is not complete coverage of Phuket.
Public booking pages can change quickly. Event listings do not guarantee availability on your dates. Conflicting coaching prices and court descriptions, missing tax treatment, rental units, promotion eligibility and unstated cancellation or weather rules remain unconfirmed. No generic first-class discount, fixed travel time or booking guarantee is added.
